Mine is probably “Yume Mita Ato de” too. Yuri’s voice, the melodies, and the beauty of the lyrics are impossible to put into words.

Reading posts >>33 and >>42 made me realize again that the second album is a narrowly excellent album. It expands toward accessible, light pop without losing the GARNET CROW character. In particular, the first four tracks from “Yume Mita...” through “pray” are heavy and addictive. That is what makes me worry about the third album.

I watched GARNET TIME #35... Nana has a Kyoto accent. While commenting on a haiku, she quietly said, “I do not know what to do.”

The third album seems to have many tearjerker-type songs. I do feel it may be a little thin. I predict that under the old man’s arrangements there will be no grand song in the “Call My Name” or “Holy Ground” vein. It is hard to imagine he once made those mysterious arrangements for Komatsu. A pre-listening prediction, just for fun.

If I compare “Spiral” and “Yuudachi...,” I overwhelmingly choose “Yuudachi”; between “Crystal” and “Crag,” I choose “Crystal.” I like the extremely lightweight sound and the vocals that keep layering. I agree it does not sound like GARNET, but you do not hear this much in other pop music either.

I compared the recent singles with the singles from their debut year, and the quality really has declined. The style itself has not changed much, but the arrangements are poor. At this rate it will become formulaic and boring. I do not feel like listening to “Kimi to Iu Hikari” many times either. I never used to get tired of GARNET songs, but the recent singles are starting to wear me out. This is only my opinion, but does anyone else feel this way?
