I am watching the DVD. Cutting the MC is a serious loss. I know the weird shouting from the otaku beside me caused it, but it is still unsatisfying. No lottery or member introduction—this is a live show, right? Personally, I was seated where I could hear Yuri’s live voice, and the difference between the live voice and the speaker sound surprised me. It was almost dissonant. The DVD uses the speaker sound. The focus is slightly soft in the first half, perhaps because the stage was dark. Maybe for that reason Nana looks incredibly cute in person.

Amazon delivered it, so I watched the DVD. The live itself is good and Yuri’s singing has improved, but the abruptly cut interviews are frustrating. The encore should not start suddenly; I want the entrances and member introductions. The subtitles are tasteless too. The editing could have been much better. I do not know what other artists’ live DVDs are like, but are they all this poor—or is this just GIZA? I should buy stamps and mail the questionnaire.

I watched the DVD, but Yuri is not yet technically strong enough to emphasize falsetto so much. I hope she restrains it; it is uncomfortable. Still, she has improved overall. Turning “o” into “a” is also overdone.

The DVD is poorly reviewed by otaku, but Yuri and Mochi praise it highly, so the members and staff probably feel they did a fine job. The creators’ and viewers’ impressions are completely different. Maybe they only need a work they themselves approve of. MC may seem minor, but it shows the members’ real sides, and even bad banter with fan support and audience interaction would be worthwhile. I was especially charmed by Yuri checking the monitor in the pamphlet footage.
