The Music Station video of “籟・来・也”—the more I watch it, the more I feel they were deliberately referencing Miyuki Nakajima… For example, the low-register pressure is stronger than usual, and there are the clothes, hairstyle, and so on. Even the lyrics are divided into short phrases in a way that matches the semantic breaks. It really feels like Nakajima.

As for the phrase breaks matching the meaning, rather than saying it resembles Miyuki Nakajima, that’s just how Japanese pop songs are supposed to be in the first place. Even in current Japanese music, including Nana’s work, there are far too many cases where the lyrics and melody do not fit together beautifully. In that sense, the lyrics this time are seriously GJ.

The line “籟・来・也” from that Music Station appearance has been stuck in my head, so I don’t even dare go to the bathroom at night.

The sequence around this CD release was: release → Music Station → tie-in, so practically nobody except fans bought it. It reached 13,000, so I guess that’s about what we can expect. Looking at total sales, it should end up around the same as “晴れ時計” or so.

I just watched my recording. Isn’t this the best tie-in they’ve had so far? No, it was so good that calling it a tie-in almost feels insulting. It was really good. I also want the pure instrumental version used in the Canon commercial.
