This live DVD features the December 20 show at Nakano Sun Plaza from last year’s tour, held after the release of the album *THE TWILIGHT VALLEY*. It’s expected to include 24 songs, including three encore songs. The first edition will also include a live CD, with about 40 minutes of favorite takes selected by the members from recordings of this tour.

If it’s the Nakano Sun Plaza DVD, there’s a good chance I’ll be in it. Anyone who was there will understand, but was I too conspicuous? lol

I can see how the yukata photo would divide opinion. When I was trying to think of another example, Megumi Oishi came to mind. I can’t stand her. I’m not saying the two of them are the same type, though.

THE TWILIGHT YURI

Her voice really has deteriorated... Whenever I listen to the old songs, I feel kind of sad for no clear reason. I wish the old Yurippe could sing all kinds of songs again.

Her voice has definitely changed, but that just comes down to personal taste. Maybe her vocal cords have been trained and her voice has gotten fuller. I do think her singing itself has improved, though. Her volume is on another level.

Still no Billboard No. 1?~

I’ve been listening since their second album, but when I hear the first one and so on now, all I can think is how young they sound. By the way, black hair and blunt bangs seem like they’d go better with a yukata. I wish “Namida no Yesterday” had a yukata-style cover, whatever the song itself is about.

It just occurred to me: isn’t Okamochi a super Cinderella boy? He was popular at Doshisha, got picked for the ZARD cruise live, then Gane gave him a big push right after graduation and even decided to launch him solo. They also had him work on a Kuraki single, and he’s landed the kind of cushy job everyone envies. What a smooth life... Yurippe is a little like that too, though. Nan and God, on the other hand, give the impression of having struggled their way up for years.

Recently, every new GARNET CROW release has made it high on the Oricon charts, and one of your albums reached No. 1. Your recognition has grown tremendously compared with your early days. So more than anything, I hope you’ll hold a live show at a venue in Tokyo that can hold tens of thousands of people, such as Nippon Budokan. (I couldn’t get a ticket last time. I’m sure GARNET CROW fans all over the country feel the same way.) You may have specific requirements for venue acoustics and other considerations, but I think you’d be happy if more fans could attend and share the same wonderful moment with you. I sincerely hope you’ll consider it.

At the end of the day, this is probably GIZA saying, “If you want tickets, join the fan club.” They’re only ranking high on Oricon and the like because they have a core fan base and sales around them have dropped. Otherwise, their venues wouldn’t keep getting smaller year after year...

They can’t even sell out the fan-club events. If they played Budokan, it’d be half empty. Though Budokan would be a good venue for a farewell show.

Even GO!GO!7188, whose sales are way lower than Gane’s, has played Budokan. Gane can obviously do it too.

I also think they’d be better off not doing it.

I want to hug Yurippe so badly.

There’s no way they’d fill Budokan—not even close. It might become an even more legendary fiasco than AAA or Tatu at Tokyo Dome. Still, I wish they’d stop holding every show at Nakano. As things stand, lots of people lose the ticket lottery or can’t get tickets in the general sale. They could use a slightly larger venue, or at least do two consecutive nights in Tokyo.

I was curious, so I looked into it. The Yurippe copy-paste spam started the day after the Conan tie-in news broke, and it came in fast. Most of it was dumped into Saegusa and GIZA threads; now both threads are at the point where people are suggesting they be set to ignore.

Probably a fan of some artist who wanted the Conan tie-in. So pathetic...

Personally, I think the Showa feel got stronger around “Bokura dake no Mirai.” The opening sounds a lot like “Memory Glass,” and the singing style was pretty Miyuki Nakajima-esque to begin with.
