No. 1: Spring
Reasons related to image and character
Bright and warm; the two female members have a gentle quality; transparent and refreshing; they make you believe firmly that dreams can come true, and spring is the season that most resembles dreams coming true; I want to listen lazily in a warm season; they debuted in March; they seem wrapped in a thin mist, making their true form hard to see; the group’s image is both melancholy and warm; bright and relaxed; they bring to mind a sunny warm spot; even when I feel down, they seem able to bring warmth; refreshing, with a constant sense of newness; they seem to seep naturally into the body; it feels as if many things are about to begin, creating anticipation; their gentleness renews the mood; like a ray of light in darkness; peaceful, like a spring breeze; awakening after hibernation; the image of flowers and plants sprouting; not a cheerful spring, but spring as a season of parting; like a warm breeze; an atmosphere of “everything is about to begin”; the four members have a peaceful atmosphere; the band makes me think of the faint, gentle scent of flowers... and so on.

The melancholy when summer ends and the loneliness of being alone as winter approaches; an acoustic-music image; peace mixed with a fleeting quality; warm but not hot; like autumn sunlight; after summer’s bustle leaves, the weather is still slightly warm and the scenery beautiful, yet somehow lonely; listening calms the mood; unlike the intensity of summer or winter, it has autumn’s loneliness; what could suit the “deep-red crow” better than autumn; the cool, slightly melancholy atmosphere of the turn from summer to autumn suits them; like an autumn evening, slightly cold, with an orange sky ahead; quiet and melancholy; the nostalgic atmosphere resembles autumn; alongside strong energy, you can feel fleetingness and sorrow; intelligent; neither overly glamorous nor too dark, with the flavor of an old object; a little fragile; like the brown tones of an old photograph; many album and single covers have a peaceful autumn atmosphere; the members, each with a different personality, are like autumn leaves... and so on.

Garnet is the birthstone for January; a calm feeling; winter has a soft side; like a moment between changing seasons; like a transparent crystal in darkness; like the warmth felt in winter; just as winter’s cold seeps into the body, their music seeps into the heart; it conveys a relaxed feeling; softness and warmth within tension; like light shining into darkness... and so on.

Nakamura’s singing brings to mind the clear, fresh air of a winter morning; her voice seems able to warm people; the first album and independent mini-album were both released around winter; the faint sadness in the songs resembles winter’s cold; many songs seep into the heart; many songs seem to wrap around the cold of winter; even songs about mutual love can convey the deep feeling and sadness of “loving someone from the bottom of your heart”... and so on.
No. 4: Summer
Reasons related to image and character
Rather than midsummer, early summer; although it is early summer, the more you listen the warmer your heart becomes; even in their passionate love of music, you can feel a cool breeze; they are so refreshing; vivid summer blue; a feeling of energy bursting into bloom; they bring to mind a summer evening when lively life pauses for a moment; full of spirit... and so on.

Refreshing and well suited to the sea in summer; their songs make people feel stronger; acoustic guitar feels like summer; the impression left by “夏の幻”... and so on.
The survey was conducted in March 2002, just as “夢みたあとで” was released, so it is natural that the impression of spring was especially strong. The vote gap with second-place autumn was small, apparently because GARNET CROW’s acoustic-feeling songs evoke both “warmth” and “melancholy.” After the release of fast songs such as “スパイラル” and “クリスタル・ゲージ,” and after seeing the members full of energy on last autumn’s *GARNET CROW LIVE TOUR 2002 〜first live scope〜*, it is fascinating to wonder how everyone’s impression has changed.
