Tickets for the first concert in October, *GARNET CROW LIVE TOUR 2002 〜first sound scope〜*, sold out immediately. By the time you read this issue, the Osaka show may already be over. This time Yuri Nakamura, who has been appearing on stages around the country during the HOTROD BEACH PARTY tour, writes.

HOTROD BEACH PARTY: the journey begins

Hello, everyone. Since the end of July I have been taking part in MAI-K & FRIENDS HOTROD BEACH PARTY and have had the opportunity to sing in many places across the country. Normally in Osaka, my life centers mainly around the studio, so this has been especially fresh.

This time I thought I would write a little sightseeing diary from my trip to Sapporo. I have also been writing about memories from the different places little by little on the official website, so please take a look.

Sapporo was cool and comfortable, just as I had heard. When I stayed at the hotel, I even borrowed a blanket to sleep with—something unimaginable in Osaka.

During my free time, which was actually on the day of the performance, I went to the clock tower. Unfortunately, it happened to be closed, so I could not go inside. What a shame.

The photo is the clock tower I took myself, and I thought it turned out pretty well (laughs).

After that I went to the botanical garden, only to find another closed day. Oh, what bad luck... I hear there is also a rose garden inside, so I definitely want to see it next time.

Finally, I walked through Odori Park. The park was large and beautiful, with a fountain. The shade of the trees was cool and very pleasant. A few hours later, I went into the performance in a considerably better mood.

It was not a long break, but it was a good change of pace.

GARNET CROW’s first concert, *GARNET CROW LIVE TOUR 2002 〜first live scope〜*, ended successfully; see pp.10–11 for the live report. The new song is expected to be released on December 11, and we hear they are busy recording every day. Additional performances have also been confirmed. In the middle of this increasingly busy schedule, Furui joins the column.

Recently I changed my work computer.

I built it myself. For the first time I gathered my courage, planned it during my free time, ordered all the parts at once, and assembled it. My goal was to make it as fast and compact as possible.

Since I could not spend too much time on it, there were some difficult parts. Apart from hesitating over the CPU because of heat dissipation in such a small case, though, there were no real problems.

I had been a little worried because I heard that building a computer yourself can involve all kinds of trouble, but nothing major happened and it was completed more easily than I expected. It is very comfortable to use now.

Such an adult hobby (laughs).

When I have time next, I would like to choose the parts more carefully and take on a more difficult build.
