GARNET CROW's “word scope in M.F.M.” (Vol.90)

They are working day and night in the studio on their next release. This time, guitarist Hitoshi Okamoto has delivered a column.

I am a self-proclaimed Kansai person who has wandered around western Japan, and I love natto. Natto with rice, as a snack with drinks, or as a condiment—natto in every form.

These days, there is natto with the smell reduced for people who do not like the odor, isn't there?
There is even a type with sauce turned into something like a gummy so that you can eat it without getting your hands dirty. It is a wonderful result of corporate effort.

But!
From the perspective of a true natto freak, it is also undeniably a grave incident.

It is fine for it to stink! Let natto smell spread everywhere!
Your hands might get dirty? Whaa—how terribly regrettable!

I do not deny the existence of mild-mannered natto, but I sincerely hope a tough, hard-core variety that goes in exactly the opposite direction will make a comeback.

So:
“Nioi ga Natto,” specialized in pungency,
“Mazerena Natto,” with exceptionally strong strings of stickiness.

For now, start at about 1.5 times the conventional level.
The product image should be an extension of “Otoko-mae Tofu.” Sounds good, doesn't it?

Well, enough of that daydreaming. The topic handed on from the previous issue was “What do you want to graduate from?” in this graduation-season period.
Hmm. What could it be? Maybe the sneeze I am almost ready to graduate from. Until now, it was “Uaaah—achoo!!” and wonderfully refreshing, but after I threw out my back sneezing at the end of last year, I now go, “Ppffhf—achoo!!”… It sounds ridiculous when written down.
I take just a little extra time to spread out the impact.
I may be writing about something trivial, but you will understand if you actually throw your back out. Honestly.

Next time it is AZUKI-san's turn.

GARNET CROW's unreleased song “Nora” was broadcast as the theme song for ABC's “Kazoku Lesson,” which aired from March 2 to 6. Did everyone get a chance to hear it?
This is a heartwarming yet slightly bittersweet song told from the viewpoint of a stray cat. The warm sound of the gut guitar, percussion, and other instruments gently envelops this world, making it a true GARNET-style relaxing number.

GARNET CROW recently graced the cover and opening feature again, and this time AZUKI NANA makes her appearance!

The period when you can truly feel that it is spring is remarkably short, isn't it?
From the cherry blossoms beginning to bloom, through the chilly days during blossom season, until the trees start to show scattered green leaves.
Hmm. Maybe it lasts less than a month. Once the trees become leafy, it already feels like early summer.
If I were to make a plan for enjoying that spring, I would go to Okinawa in January, when the cherry blossoms are beginning to bloom.
From there, I would slowly and leisurely head north while savoring spring.
Yes. That way, I could enjoy spring for about six months.
In reality, a trip like that is pretty difficult, so let us enjoy it in our minds.
When I travel in my mind, especially in this season, I start to feel drowsy and hazy.
It is also the season that best suits dozing off.
I sleep every day, yet I am sleepy again today.
Even if I sleep now, I will probably be sleepy again tomorrow.
I ate yesterday, yet I am hungry again today.
I will probably be hungry again tomorrow too.
Ah… even though the repetition of each day rules everyday life down to the smallest detail,
why is that?
Yesterday's drowsy haze becomes today's boredom.
A pleasant afternoon.
It was just the ramblings of a lethargic day in April. That is all.
