In 2006, GARNET CROW released singles as well as 『THE TWILIGHT VALLEY』, their first original album in roughly two years, expanding their sonic world in new directions. Their first release of 2007 is the double A-side single “Kaze to RAINBOW / Kono Te o Nobaseba.” The two songs were unveiled early at last year’s live tour, “GARNET CROW livescope 2006 ～THE TWILIGHT VALLEY～,” and had already become a topic of conversation among fans. The release consists of two contrasting numbers: “Kaze to RAINBOW,” with its Latin-flavored rock sound and lyrics written in stark, inorganic language, and “Kono Te o Nobaseba,” whose lyrics are sung over strings and piano, evoking the beginning of a journey. For this issue, we spoke with Yuri Nakamura, who writes the music and handles vocals, about last year’s live shows and the new single.
