Alongside participating in GARNET CROW live performances and recordings as its guitarist, Hitoshi Okamoto has worked as a composer and arranger for many artists, including Mai Kuraki. As a solo artist, he has released two singles and two albums to date. On December 8, he will launch a new solo project as “SUPER LIGHT” and release the mini-album *Now Printing...*. His broad talents are on full display in his solo work, where he handles every instrumental part himself, from vocals onward. His sound combines a direct, pop-oriented character with a distinctive edge and a unique vocal style, giving it both a comfortable quality and a striking individuality. His guitar playing, rich in expressive depth, also gives GARNET CROW’s sound a firm character.

Q1. [Favorite food = things that go well with alcohol] Do you cook for yourself? If so, what is your specialty?
A. I don’t cook, and I can’t cook (sweat).
　I can make an original dish called multi udon.

Q.2. [Comedy = laughing keeps you healthy] Are there any comedians you have been interested in lately?
Also, which do you watch most often on television: “variety,” “dramas,” “news,” or “documentaries”? Is there any program you always make sure to watch?
A. Variety and news.
　“Suporuto” on Mondays, and the “Rosann no Michiannai Shiyo” segment of *Chichin Puipui*.

Q3. [Fashion = something I want to keep up, as always] What is your biggest priority when it comes to fashion?
A. I value flexibility. I listen to other people’s opinions.

Q4. [Live performances = living things] This year brought various new experiences, including the symphonic concert and All Night Nippon LIVE. You previously shared your thoughts on the symphonic concert in your serialized column, so could you tell us how you felt about All Night Nippon LIVE?
A. It was over in no time. The rehearsal on the day was practically nonexistent, so it was thrilling to go straight into the performance.

Q5. Between uplifting songs and healing songs, which do you listen to more often? And is there a song you listened to again and again in 2010?
A. Uplifting songs. “Hey Monday.” ← It’s embarrassingly pop, but I listened to it before going out and at other times.
