Yuri Nakamura in Shibuya. On Sunday, before going to Jingu Stadium, I went to Spain-zaka because I heard GARNET CROW’s Yuri Nakamura would be there. It was my first GARNET event. I entered in the second group and barely got a spot at the edge of the front row. The core fans were apparently in the first group, so the second group did not do much. I waved to Yurippe, and she waved back. Then it ended almost immediately—about four minutes. Still, it was wonderful to see Yurippe in person. Thank you to everyone who participated; I hope to see you again in December.

I take things like alternate kanji readings and the insistence on reading “simple” as “tanjun” as signs of that care.

Nana actually makes many English mistakes. As someone still studying English at university, I notice them somewhat, but I also love how she writes freely without being constrained by grammar. That sense of language cannot be produced simply by studying more English.

Am I the only one who thinks the protagonist of “Kakurenbo” did not lock the shrine grounds when returning home because the whole thing was just the ghost’s delusion?

They did not play hide-and-seek at all. They only went near the torii and shrine grounds, or imagined it, and the scene was created from a “whooooon...” fantasy. That is how I choose to see it.

The clue is “Matsuri no Jikan.”

The ghost in “Kakurenbo” is the loveless child from “Maboroshi.” He thinks he is more unfortunate than anyone, so compared with him everyone else’s wishes seem small and boring. Out of jealousy he deceives everyone, locks the door, and goes home. (whooooon...)

I listened to *first* for the first time in ages, and it is still great. The current work is good too, though. The old one is like freshly picked Kyoho grapes or chilled barley candy tea; the current one is like sweet-and-salty stewed eggplant or butter cookies.
