Continuing from the previous thread — thanks for the DVD info. I'll buy the 1st first. Of course I watched the Premium that came with Twilight Valley! It was great!! I bought it the day before Ninnaji, and before I knew it I'd booked travel to Kyoto that night. I wish they'd release the whole Premium Live on DVD...

I'm a guy, but I sing GARNET all the time. I don't get bad reactions. Not especially good ones either, though. They said "Crystal Gauge" was awesome, and that "Wasurezaki" was a good song. Some of Yurippe's songs fit my range pretty well. Isn't it exhausting to worry about everyone around you while you sing? Though yeah, it depends on the mood at the time.

I couldn't use my low register either, but I got it down this way. For a while I had trouble hitting high notes, but I got them back. Anyway, sing as low as you possibly can! Find songs that are so low they're almost uncomfortable and really hard to sing! That's how I built my low register.

You can get pretty good high notes with training, but there's a limit to how low you can go

Try closing your mouth, tightening your throat, and just humming low over and over. Also, sing the song you want in a key you can handle, then lower it one step at a time. If it gets hard to sing, stop at that key, repeat it and get used to it; once you can sing it, go lower. It's easier to get there if you have a specific goal.

I'm the new person from the other day. Today I couldn't hold back, so I bought a bunch of GARNET CROW CDs. I spent all the money I'd been saving for a PS3; I got every album. Now, the main point. At this stage I'm thinking of collecting the singles too, but I figured I'd start with ones that have songs I might like. Any advice? For reference, my current favorites are "Yuzukiyo," "Kono Fuyu no Shirosa ni," and "Only Stay."

But the audio itself is available on the iTunes Store. There are 100 copies of the Maboroshi edition. Very rare, y'know. It could still show up at auction. I was satisfied just seeing one on display, though. The three-color obi is truly rare. I wonder how many still exist... GARNET has a unique musical style, so they don't have to force themselves to sell enough to break into the top ranks. Agreed. I hope the GARNET members never change. AZUKI-san's feel for language and sensitivity to words are so sharp. She puts feelings that are hard to express into Japanese so precisely... I could never imitate that.
