GARNET CROW’s eagerly awaited new single “君を飾る花を咲かそう” and concert DVD have been confirmed for simultaneous release on June 9. This time Hirohito Furui appears.

Large music-download sites have been increasing, making it easy to buy music on a computer and transfer it straight to a small player. This way of listening has become quite common.

Perhaps it depends on how you look at it. But from a creator’s point of view, clicking delete and seeing something disappear feels a little lonely, like a disposable product. Of course, being able to buy and listen at any time without restrictions is extremely convenient and revolutionary.

Still, I hope people will listen to music while looking at the cover and lyrics...

Many things change as the times develop. But I do not want to forget the feeling of carefully valuing every work and making it as good as possible.

The new single “君を飾る花を咲かそう” has been airing since April 10 as the ending theme for the TV Tokyo network anime *Monkey Turn* (Saturdays, 24:55–25:25).

GARNET CROW’s eagerly awaited new single “君を飾る花を咲かそう” and concert DVD will be released next month (see the report on pp.12–13). This time Hitoshi Okamoto appears.

Vous allez bien? How is everyone? I am lying in a hospital bed, writing this article with a trembling hand (just kidding).

There was very little pollen this year, so perhaps my body could not properly feel the change of seasons. That must be it. I feel unwell because no pollen is flying around. Let’s settle on that.

Soon the season of the “May blues” will pass and the rainy season will arrive. I never have the May blues, though. Before then, I have to clean the air conditioner. Washing the filter while sweating all over in muggy heat is a miserable sight. But if I am lazy and let it blow out a stuffy, unpleasant smell, that feels even worse.

In other words, the best approach is to clean the air conditioner all at once while it is still cool. Excellent! Solve it in one go. Refreshing summer shampoo and the like are also necessities. Organizing clothes for the change of season is, at most, optional.
