GARNET CROW made its major-label debut in 2000 and celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. Their commitment to “making good songs,” unchanged since the group was formed, has deepened their pursuit of music and led them to build the one-of-a-kind brand sound called GARNET CROW. Sometimes nostalgic, sometimes suggestive of the future, sometimes carrying an exotic fragrance… Their music possesses a quality that is not bound by time or place, along with the power to guide listeners into the world of a song in an instant. That power has grown with every passing year, and GARNET CROW's work has become increasingly fulfilling.
In 2005, they marked the occasion with the banner “5th Anniversary” and pursued their musical activities with even greater energy. In January they embarked on the live tour “livescope 2005〜I'm waiting 4 you & live〜.” In May they released the single “Kimi no Omoi Egaita Yume Atsumeru HEAVEN” and the fifth-anniversary DVD “le 5 ème anniversarie” L'Histoire de 2000 à 2005” at the same time, showing us their musical journey in a variety of forms. The latest item to add color to this “5th Anniversary” is GARNET CROW 『Best』.
