~ The three songs “Eien wo Kakenukeru Isshun no Bokura” presented GARNET CROW's pastoral, gentle world. This block might be likened to the second movement of an orchestra. Even so, the range between light and dark in Garnet's songs is enormous. It is as if they depict an entire human life. With thoughts like that in mind, the live show moved toward its second half.
　The MC segment in which the members answered Nakamura's question, “What kind of year has this past year been for you?”, was a precious moment that revealed each person's individuality. In the four members' earnest responses, we caught a glimpse of the source of GARNET CROW's sincere musical character.
　Next came “Yume Mita Ato de,” one of their most popular songs. We were captivated by the beauty of the lighting from the spinning mirror ball, but then, unexpectedly, Nakamura's voice stopped for a moment in the middle of the song as emotion overcame her! The performance continued, warmly enveloping her as she fought back tears. This accident became a moving scene that showed, in reverse, the unity of GARNET CROW as a band.
　From “Sen Ijo no Kotoba wo Narabete mo...” onward, Nakamura's voice recovered beautifully. With the latest song “Hare-dokei,” the powerful “Futari no Rocket,” the passionate “Bokura Dake no Mirai,” and “Kimi no Omoi Egaita Yume Atsumeru HEAVEN,” which suggested infinite possibilities, the momentum rose all the way and carried the climax through the end of the main set. It was an overwhelming flow that rang out like a fortissimo. Finally, Nakamura repeatedly called “Thank you very much” toward the audience, while the members responded with smiles. It was a refreshing sight, and a moment when the audience could sincerely feel that supporting this band for five years had been worthwhile.
　Led on by a Garnet call loud enough to split the air, images of their single history appeared on the screen. During the screening, the members returned and performed an unfamiliar song. It was the new song “Haru Matsu Hana no Youni,” created especially for this evening. Surely this song, too, would eventually grow into one of their classics.
　“Schiller said, ‘Life is long when it is boring and short when it is fulfilling.’ Tonight, somehow, the time has passed in the blink of an eye. ~ We have made it this far over these five years because you have continued to encourage us. Please continue to support us from next year onward!”
　After Nakamura's words came “Last love song,” and then, at the very end, “Spiral” was performed slowly and with force. The final phrase was repeated again and again as everyone lingered over the ending. When everything was over, the venue was filled with sparkling light. The curtain hid the members for a moment, then rose again to a round of curtain-call applause. In the instant it descended, the happiness we felt must surely have fallen upon everyone gathered there.
　That day, I learned that a “midwinter night's dream” exists.
