GARNET CROW's April single “Over Drive” debuted at No. 4 on the Oricon singles chart, their highest position ever. Adding further luster to the anniversary year that began with their 10th debut anniversary on March 29, GARNET CROW, now riding an ever-growing wave of momentum, will release two highly anticipated titles simultaneously on August 4.

The first is a LIVE DVD packaging the nationwide tour [GARNET CROW Happy 10th Anniversary livescope 2010 〜THE BEST TOUR〜], held to commemorate their 10th anniversary. Beginning at Tokyo International Forum Hall A on February 27 and visiting seven locations across Japan, the tour served as a best-of tour that brought together the group's first ten years under the banner of the album 『THE BEST History of GARNET CROW at the crest...』. Built around the members' central theme of “going out to convey our gratitude,” the stage, packed with hit songs and fan favorites, captivated audiences with a scale unlike anything they had seen before. The LIVE DVD naturally includes “Over Drive,” performed for the first time on this tour, making it a rich release that fans have been eagerly awaiting.

The second title is their first concept album, 『All Lovers』. The album contains 16 songs selected around the concept of “songs to give to someone important, songs to have them listen to.” In fact, after releasing the album, the group is scheduled to hold its first symphonic concert, [GARNET CROW Symphonic Concert 2010 〜All Lovers〜], on August 26, in collaboration with the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra. The concept of this album—“songs to give to someone important, songs to have them listen to”—is also shared by the concert, making the album an especially promising preview of that event. Alongside 15 warm yet bittersweet songs selected from their many celebrated works, it also includes the newly written song “Sora ni Hanabi.” It has become a medium-tempo ballad overflowing with the group's character, perfectly suited to the end of summer. It is already being aired as the July ending theme for TBS's [Uwasa no Tokyo Magazine] (broadcast every Sunday from 1 p.m.), so be sure to check it out. We also hear that two songs from the album will be reborn in new arrangements. Those are worth looking forward to as well.

Since their debut, GARNET CROW have consistently pursued their own distinctive style. Their refusal to compromise when it comes to music has given them a strong air of mystery, but these two releases make it clear that their music is deeply human and filled with love that enriches the heart.
