The hot weather continues, so please take great care not to suffer heatstroke!!

It has been hot every day, but GARNET CROW is planning to release the cool☆ number “Misty Mystery,”
as if to blow away the heat.
That said, it will not be released until August 31… (sweat)

At the end of June, we simultaneously released our 32nd single “Smiley Nation”
and the LIVE DVDs *GARNET CROW livescope 2009 ～夜明けのSoul～*
and *GARNET CROW livescope 2010 ～welcome to the parallel universe！～*.
The gap is not especially long, but following last year,
the song was selected as the opening theme for *Detective Conan*,
broadcast nationwide on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday,
which is how this release schedule came about.

“Misty Mystery” is an even more unabashedly danceable song than anything we have done before.
Without losing the GARNET CROW character, we carefully built it from every single drum sound,
creating a “Cool & Beauty” finish.

The contents of the coupling tracks differ slightly between the First Press Limited Edition and the Regular Edition,
but these are songs we selected after holding out until the very last moment □.
I think it is a selection that not only GARNET fans but many music lovers will enjoy!!
It is also the kind of song that is perfect for live shows,
so I hope it grows into an essential part of our set…
Since the timing of the releases overlapped this time, this column ended up being mostly promotion,
but I hope you will enjoy a fresh side of GARNET CROW in many different senses.

Although it is summer, the lingering heat continues. How have you all been? This is Okamoto.
It really is hot every day. And on top of that, because of the electricity situation, it is a summer of conserving power!
There are constant calls for cooperation with power conservation in commercials,
and places all over town are saving electricity too.
Our household is using less electricity than usual so far, which is a little moving.
We have not made any particular effort, but apparently we have been able to act in power-saving mode more than we realized.
When everyone makes the same effort at once and power-saving slogans come flying in from every direction,
it seems to produce “actions we take without realizing it.” That is scary. It is a little frightening if you look at it negatively (laughs).

Anyway, the other day I took part in an Otodama live show at Zushi Beach.
I am the kind of person who is not allowed to □, you know.
I am so □-pale that it is almost □ itself (tears).
Well, never mind that.
Wow, it was hot! And the weather was hot too!
Because both my hands got sweaty while I was playing guitar,
the sweat pouring down my face almost washed away my contact lenses (laughs).
Thank you so much to everyone who came to the venue despite the heat!
The beachside setting was a first for us, and so was playing in T-shirts and beach sandals,
so the whole experience became a live show I will remember for a long time.
Among the audience were people who had been swimming until just before,
still in their swim trunks,
and people who were enjoying a relaxed, slightly tipsy feeling after drinking beer on the beach.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying it in their own favorite way, and it felt really good.
If we get another opportunity like this, I hope those who missed it this time will come too!
