First television appearance: the journey begins

Hello, I am Yuri Nakamura. It is nice to see you again, and now it is my turn once more.

Some of you may know that GARNET CROW made its first television appearance at the beginning of March and also experienced a live broadcast. Did you watch? If I had to summarize the feeling in one phrase, it would simply be “very nervous.” But then the article would be over...

On one live program we performed last, so we could not relax at all. I kept worrying: Will my voice come out? Will my voice come out?

During commercial breaks, or while other musicians were singing, I quietly sang along under my breath. If I did not sing, I felt anxious. AZUKI watched me and laughed.

Now that it is finally over, I can at last breathe a sigh of relief.

To everyone who watched the television broadcast, everyone who listened to “夢みたあとで,” the fans who have always watched over us so warmly, and the staff: thank you very much!

Many of you must be playing the second album, *SPARKLE 〜筋書き通りのスカイブルー〜*, over and over by now. We hear the members are still recording nonstop after its release, so this time Okamoto takes a moment to talk about something that interests him lately.

Hello, I am Okamoto. How have you been? Ah, it is already May.

GARNET CROW’s second album, *SPARKLE 〜筋書き通りのスカイブルー〜*, came out recently. There are songs that develop the direction we had already taken, as well as types that could never have appeared before, so I think the range of what we tried this time is broad. The release season is also just right. Please let it accompany your new life. I am joking.

The rainy season is approaching too. Humidity is terrible for instruments, so it is a troublesome season. The studio where we usually record is actually quite dry, though. Whenever it rains, the entrance becomes incredibly slippery.

Speaking of humidity, the World Cup is finally coming. I hear the participating countries are worried about Japan’s heat and humidity at this time of year. Countries unused to it may find that their players cannot run in the second half. That gives Japan an advantage, since we are the host country. Naturally.

Does everyone have a country they support? I am watching England. It is still uncertain whether Beckham will be able to play. Do you know Beckham? The most handsome soccer player in the world was recently injured. Their group is also extremely competitive, with Argentina, a country with a deep rivalry. This will be exciting, haha.

After finishing the album, I had hoped I might be able to rest a little, but I am still recording intensively. I watch sports news in the gaps, and when the Japan national soccer team or our Hanshin Tigers are doing well, I somehow feel better.

In any case, GARNET CROW has continued making music after the second album without disrupting its rhythm. Please keep looking forward to what comes next.
