GARNET CROW's “word scope in M.F.M.” (Vol.26)

GARNET CROW will release their new album *Crystallize 〜君という光〜* on November 12 (P.10–11). This time, Hitoshi Okamoto makes an appearance!

Hello, everyone. I'm Hitoshi Okamoto. The weather has finally begun to feel like autumn, but recently I collapsed with a cold. Technically, it was still summer, so it was what people call a “summer cold—the kind only an idiot catches.” It's true. Sorry, I'm an idiot m(＿＿)m

So I went to a small clinic nearby.

Doctor: “What's wrong?”
Okamoto: “My throat has hurt since last night, and I think I may have a slight fever.”
Doctor: “Open your mouth. Say ‘ah.’”

He took a quick look inside. Naturally, he did not use a penlight, either.

“All right, that's enough. ...It's a cold. I'll prescribe you some medicine. Take care.”

Hey, wait, wait!

I was sitting on that round stool for about twenty seconds. It was an unbelievably speedy consultation. Yes, it was definitely a cold, but still... Could you at least make a show of it and use a stethoscope or something...?

Then I took the prescription to the pharmacy outside the clinic.

Pharmacist: “The doctor should already have explained this to you. Three times a day, and so on...”

I didn't hear any explanation at all!

Based on that twenty-second examination, I was prescribed a huge pile of medicine: five different kinds of powders and tablets, plus lozenges. How much am I supposed to take? Basically, the message was, “Take all this and go home to bed!” Right? Fine. As long as it cures me, anything goes.

GARNET CROW's “word scope in M.F.M.” (Vol.27)

GARNET CROW will release their new album *Crystallize 〜君という光〜* on November 12. I hear they have been very particular about this release, working on it right up to the last moment. Now that production is finished, they should finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief, right? Please enjoy these words from AZUKI Nana, who is taking some time to relax!

It is completely autumn now. It's cold. I am especially bad with the cold! Every morning, I look at photographs of tropical countries, then check the flight schedules...

The third album has now been completed, and I am temporarily in a state of blankness. Those weeks when my vitality had clearly been fading are over, and I am now relaxed in just the right way. I would like to stay this way.

But why is it that the busier I am, the more I can run around and do all sorts of things? Around this time last year, our first live shows had just begun. After rehearsals, I would think, “I want to move my body!” and go to the pool. Then I would think, “The pool is too small! Let's go see the ocean,” and head straight for the Wakayama area. If I got hungry, I would go to the morning market; after coming back, I would read for a while, sleep for less than an hour, and then go to rehearsal again... That was how I spent my days back then.

It really felt as though I could go anywhere and do anything during the half-day between rehearsals! I wanted to do everything! This time, while making the album, I also ran around to quite a few places...

I suppose that once something gets moving, people become more active along with it? Even if I wake up at five in the morning, the moment I open my eyes, my creative urge is already overflowing! I am completely charged. But when I am moving at full speed, even stumbling over a small stone seems to hurt. Whenever something happens, my mood suddenly plunges to the other extreme, and I become completely dejected.

...Anyway... the album is coming out! It is finally coming out! Thank you to everyone who helped us, and thank you for all your hard work.
