Now that GARNET CROW’s eagerly awaited live tour has ended, are the members taking a breather? Or have they already gone straight into recording? This time YURI NAKAMURA appears, but because she wanted to write about her strong feelings toward the tour, we received her copy during rehearsals before the shows!

Hello, everyone. As the cold deepens, please take good care not to catch a cold. I am currently rehearsing for livescope 2005. I am very happy that we were able to start another year with live shows.
What makes this year especially meaningful is that it marks GARNET CROW’s fifth anniversary since our debut. It feels as though the time has flown by, but I do not think it is easy to keep expressing the music we seek. We have made it this far thanks to all the fans who have continued to support us. Thank you so much!
For that reason, this is a memorable year for us, and every member is working hard and enthusiastically in live rehearsals. The studio is extremely hot from all the power colliding with power (laughs)!
We are sharing lots of ideas—“What if we do this?” “What if we do that?”—and are making the final adjustments so that everyone who comes to see us can enjoy themselves and have as much fun as possible. I cannot wait to see you all!

GARNET CROW’s *word scope in M.F.M* (Vol.43)

GARNET CROW has been busy creating music both inside and outside the band: news has already arrived about a new song airing, and YURI NAKAMURA and AZUKI NANA have provided a song to another artist for the first time as a songwriting team (Sayuri Iwata’s “空色の猫”). This time AZUKI NANA appears!

It is around the time when the first signs of spring begin to show.
Last month GARNET CROW finished “livescope 2005〜I’m waiting 4 you & live〜.”
Thank you so very much to all the people who came to see us again despite the cold season.
I would love to perform live at least once in warm sunshine, and I would also like to visit many different regions.
But it seems the right opportunity never quite comes along. It is such a shame.
Our work has been moving steadily forward since the live shows—or perhaps quietly and single-mindedly...?
The moment the shows ended, new backing tracks started appearing, and Yurippe began singing again without taking a break. It amazes me how much everyone really loves music.
I am sure we take that much energy and motivation home with us from the venues.
It feels a little like the question of which came first, the chicken or the egg.

Changing the subject completely, I happened to turn on the TV a moment ago and caught a program talking about surfing. For some reason it drew me in, and suddenly I wanted to try riding waves.
I have gone diving in the sea, but I had never once been interested in surfing. If anything, I used to keep my distance, thinking, “How can you play on the surface when such a wonderful world spreads out underneath it? I just don’t understand.”
It feels as though I suddenly want to try something I had rejected without tasting it.
The moment you become interested in something new is exciting, isn’t it?
I do not know where to begin, but I would like to start soon!
