GARNET CROW's “word scope in M.F.M” (Vol.70)
GARNET CROW is celebrating its seventh anniversary this year, and this is also the 70th installment of its column in this magazine! This month, Hiroto Furui takes the stage.
On June 17 and July 7, we held our first fan-club events with all the members taking part.
Starting with an acoustic live performance, we enjoyed talking, quizzes, and more in a fresh and exciting atmosphere!
We also released a live DVD on June 27 and our new single “Namida no Yesterday,” our 100th song overall, on July 4. I hope we can keep this momentum going all the way through the end of the year.
This time, so many of you came from far away, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope we can create more opportunities to meet you all at live shows and other events!!

GARNET CROW spent a passionate seventh summer holding fan events in Hyogo and Tokyo!! This month, YURI NAKAMURA tells us about those fan events.
Hello, everyone. I hope you’re doing well despite the continuing hot days.
Our fan events have finished successfully, and now we’re spending our days immersed in recording again. In Tokyo, the members surprised me by celebrating my birthday onstage. I was truly shocked and very happy! After the event, the members and staff turned that enormous cake into a “Everyone, gather round for a toast!” party backstage (laughs), and we finished it all. It was delicious. We planned these events hoping to connect heart to heart with our fans at a closer distance, and in both Osaka and Tokyo we were able to feel everyone’s warmth. I now have unforgettable memories from our seventh anniversary. Thank you so much to everyone who came.
Even though the TV recording was arranged suddenly, and a typhoon was approaching, so many G-net members came to watch. After we recorded the live scenes, they surprised me once again by singing “Happy Birthday,” and I was truly delighted! Thank you! The staff around me told me, “Compared with rehearsal, you looked more relaxed and your expression was so much brighter when you sang in front of the fans.” It’s all thanks to you v(*^^*)v. The power of our seventh anniversary and our 100th song is incredible this year. We even summoned a typhoon. It’s been intense (laughs).
