GARNET CROW's “word scope in M.F.M.” (Vol.84)

GARNET CROW spent a fulfilling summer, holding long-awaited live shows in Tokyo and Osaka in August. (Please see pp.18–19 for the live report!)
This time, we have a comment from vocalist YURI NAKAMURA! (This comment was received before the Osaka show on August 31!)

Hello, everyone.
The biggest news for me right now is that livescope2008 has begun, and the two Tokyo shows finished successfully the other day!
The concerts became even hotter and more exciting than I had imagined.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to see us. Those two days felt like a dream.
There were a few Garnet-style mishaps, such as a typhoon suddenly appearing and rain falling on the day of the show (laughs).
Please forgive us for that—we will have Okamocchi give this matter a good talking-to (laughs).
Osaka is still ahead of us, so I hope we can carry this momentum with us and let loose in Osaka as well.
Everyone in Osaka, we look forward to seeing you!!
Now, everyone, did you make any good memories this summer?
As someone who loves festivals and fireworks,
I would love to go to the Omagari Fireworks Festival in Akita Prefecture at least once.

Lunch on the second day of the live shows. Maybe because I was nervous, I was so full of anticipation that I could hardly swallow anything, and I left about half of it. The other members ate properly and heartily. Don't they get nervous? I'm jealous!

GARNET CROW will release the new single “Hyakunen no Kodoku” on October 22. They have continued working energetically on both live performances and new releases, and this time Hirohito Furui has delivered a column in the middle of that busy schedule. Last time, YURI NAKAMURA left Furui the following topic: “What festival or fireworks display did you visit this summer? And which festival anywhere in Japan would you like to visit?” What will Furui's answer be???

Hello, everyone. This is Furui.

Well then, shall I answer YURI's topic right away…?
I did go to the Garnet Festival!?
Well, it was a live show (laughs).
This year was GARNET CROW's first summer live tour,
and so many people came that it became an incredibly exciting series of shows.
Since we were also working on new songs alongside the live shows,
the release of the single “Hyakunen no Kodoku” was set for October 22,
so I feel it really was a wonderful summer!!

Oh yes, there was a second part to YURI's topic (sweat).
As for a festival I would like to visit?
There is the Sapporo Snow Festival, which I would like to try again.
A few years ago, the dates did not work out, so I went a few days before it began, took a quick look around, and came home.

Well, that turned into a story about this summer. So, next?
