It is the season of fresh green, when the greenery of the trees shines brightly. This is Hitoshi Okamoto of GARNET CROW.
Lately I have been extremely eager to change to a smartphone.
But I do not use the internet when I am out, and I do not use Twitter or anything like that.
I do not travel for long periods in everyday life, so I do not watch videos or listen to music while moving around.
Of course, I do not receive business documents stylishly while out either.
Hmm. However I look at it, I obviously do not need one.

And yet! For some reason, I want one so badly!
I think I know why. That thing, you know—the swish, swish! with your fingertips.
Yes, that. I… I just want to use a touch panel. That must be it.
You might say, “What are you, an elementary-school kid?” but…
I just want to experience that, probably.

By the way, if I switch to a smartphone, do you think I will want to start using Twitter and things like that?
I suppose you need some diligent side to your personality for something like that to last, right?

Now then, about GARNET CROW's new song “Smiley Nation.”
Playing this song is pretty challenging.
It demands quite a lot of reflexes! Recording it while reading the score was difficult too.

To use an extremely forceful comparison, it is something like Dance Dance Revolution or Taiko no Tatsujin.
The kind where it is best to learn it with your body, perhaps?
That is why the exhilaration when you play all the way through is incredible!
You think, “I did it!”
